Scientific Contributions

Presentations

The official language of the Conference is English. Due to the large number of pre-registered contributions, the Scientific Organizers strongly recommend the presentation of posters.
Oral presentations will be chosen by the Scientific Organizers according to their subject and to their general interest.

Extended abstracts

Authors are requested to submit by e-mail an extended abstract not later than 31st March, 2008.
Abstract in English, two-four pages long, must include Author(s), Institution(s), e-mail address(es), keywords, text, references and two figures (Fig. 1 Location of performed studies; Fig. 2 More detailed research data in the form of picture, diagram or table) with relative captions (photo or picture must be in .jpeg/.tiff format, 300 dpi resolution). The abstract must be submitted single spaced 11-point, Arial font, with 1 inch margin top, bottom, left and right.

The abstract must be created in, or converted to, Microsoft Word 97/2003/XP/2007, or .doc format from MAC OS X /OpenOffice Linux systems. An example of an abstract is provided at the end of this announcement.
The published book of extended Abstracts will be available since the 22th of September at the Conference Desk and on the Conference website:

Publications
 
Proceedings of both paper and poster presentation may be eligible for peer-reviewed pubblication in a journal with ISI code, may be “Geografia Fisica e Dinamica Quaternaria”, sponsorised by IAG – International Association of Geomorfologists. A detailed Guide for Authors is avaible on website:

Sessions Information
 
Sessions will be held from Monday, 22 September, till Tuesday, 23 September 2008 at the Hotel Plaia Conference Hall.
A maximum of two submissions per first author is desired. Oral presentation will be limited to 20 minutes (and 10 minutes for discussion). Posters will be displayed for the entire duration of the Conference. Poster sessions will take place during and after the scientific sessions. The lecture room will be equipped with one overhead projector, one slide projector and a multimedia projector.
Authors that will use liquid crystal (multimedia) projector are kindly requested to supply the presentation in Power Point (*.ppt) on CD or memory stick.
